Job Summary:
The neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) registered nurse position is located in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients, including preterm infants and those with complex medical needs, in a 108-bed unit. The position requires collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality neonatal nursing care.

Job Details:

  • Shift & Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 1 year of level III neonatal intensive care experience; certifications including BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); relevant experience with preemies (at least 28 weeks gestation and above), central line management, and respiratory management including intubated patients.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with surgical and cardiac neonates, care of trach infants, and management of broviacs.
  • Additional Information: The unit utilizes advanced equipment such as nasal cannula, Bubble Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS), warmers, and isolettes. Procedures performed include central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) ligations. The unit promotes a professional environment with staff experienced in neonatal intensive care, including those with specialized skills and certifications.
