Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), Every Other Weekend, Holidays as needed.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit who is ready to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position involves floating across different facilities and caring for a diverse patient population including observation patients, those with respiratory conditions, and diabetic patients.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patient health and vital signs.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Facilitate communication among healthcare team members, including physicians and specialists.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Participate in patient care planning and evaluation.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EPIC).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Previous charge RN experience preferred.
- Successful completion of a Pass Fail EKG exam required during onboarding.
