This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shift, 4x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Floating is required within scope.
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated RN with strong telemetry experience to join a mixed unit specializing in Med Surge, Med Surge Tele, and PCU. The hospital requires 2 years of experience in a high-acuity setting, including expertise in utilizing rapid response protocols and managing total joint replacements.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population with varying diagnoses.
- Utilize telemetry monitoring systems to effectively manage and assess patient conditions.
- Ensure accurate administration and management of cardiac drips and monitor patients for dysrhythmias.
- Participate in rapid response and code teams as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and pharmacy, to support holistic patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience in a mixed unit or high acuity setting.
- Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Must have a valid RN license in Florida or a compact RN license.
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios and familiarity with Meditech charting system are mandatory.
- Capable of addressing the needs of adult and geriatric populations.
