MRI Technologist (Nights)

Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages
- Verify physician orders, prep patients for exams, and explain procedures and instructions to patients as appropriate
- Perform all MRI studies and administer contrast media utilizing age-related technical and positioning protocols in accordance with department policy
- Evaluate MRI images for technical quality and assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment and associated supplies, including equipment warm-up, calibration, and safety checks
- Adhere to MRI safety standards and report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of recent GE MRI experience (required)
- ARRT Certification (required; ARMRIT will not be considered)
- BLS Certification (required)
- Adherence to ARRT standards of practice
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patient populations
- Familiarity with hospital computer systems and equipment quality control procedures
