Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift — Schedule consists of 2 x 12-hour shifts and 2 x 8-hour shifts per week, with shift times ranging from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM–5:30 PM. Includes Saturday rotation and call rotation shared among the team (approximately every 4–6 weeks).
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation, following established protocols and physician orders.
- Prepare patients for procedures, provide instruction to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety; immobilize patients as required.
- Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others; select and operate MRI systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment.
- Perform venipuncture, establish and maintain venous access, and prepare and administer contrast media; verify consent and screening forms.
- Evaluate images and data for technical quality; manipulate and reconstruct digital data for display and submit images for physician review using radiology information systems including PACS.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team; provide practical instruction to partners and students, and initiate basic life support when necessary.
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited radiography program (education verification required).
- Prior experience as an MRI Technologist.
- ARRT Radiography registration required.
- ARRT MRI registration required.
- Current BLS certification (approved) required.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience assisting physicians with interventional procedures and practicing aseptic technique.
- Familiarity with radiology information systems and PACS for image archiving and reporting.
