Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI imaging and related equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images across various body areas, including advanced study areas.
- Interview and prepare patients by explaining MRI procedures, addressing concerns with tact and professionalism.
- Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications and adherence to aseptic injection techniques.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and other customers regarding imaging results and patient care needs.
- Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils, etc.) to minimize downtime and maintain continuity of patient care.
- Train and provide guidance to new technologists and patient coordinators as an experienced onsite team member.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED required.
- ARRT (R) certification required.
- BLS CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
- Venipuncture Certification required.
- Valid state license as required by applicable state regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to operate MRI scanning equipment and run advanced MR studies independently.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- ARRT (MR) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
- Technical proficiency with GE 1.5T or other designated vendor scanning equipment preferred.
