Key Responsibilities- Prepare scan room and patient for examination, including reviewing previous exams and entering patient data with appropriate scan parameters.
- Interview and screen patients for contraindications prior to MRI study; explain the procedure and answer patient questions.
- Draw up and administer IV contrast as needed; perform equipment warm-up procedures and review patient data to ensure proper exam setup.
- Transport and position patients appropriately for scanning; inject IV contrast as required; perform scans with attention to positioning, protocols, coils, and restraints.
- Ensure proper image orientation and ordering; enter images with attention to correct sequence.
- Prepare complete records for radiologist review, ensuring all clinical information and exam images are accurate and in correct order.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required.
- Siemens MRI equipment experience required.
- Associate Degree required.
- Active MRI certification through ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) required.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Current skills checklist pertinent to MRI specialty (within the last year) and two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required at time of submission.
Preferred Experience / Skills- Familiarity with MRI contrast administration protocols and patient safety screening procedures.
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care imaging environment.
