Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: MRI Tech Duration: 17 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Two years of clinical experience required License: Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology Required Certifications: American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist certification or ARRT Magnetic Resonance certification required AHA - BLS required Must-Have: GE experience in the last 18-24 months required Description: Perform technical imaging examinations and complex, specialized procedures utilizing a wide variety of imaging equipment and systems. Work independently in this position with all patient age groups and varying locations. Responsible for maintenance and repairs. Participate in quality assurance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Work collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules. Triage routine and emergent procedures. Participate in the instruction of other healthcare professionals and may also engage in clinical research. Required skills include experience with a variety of MRI techniques and procedures detailed in the job description. Travelers will be required to float as needed. Minimum experience required in an acute care setting. Pass/fail testing is required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be included as part of the onboarding process.
