Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Required Certifications: Required Must-Have: Ability to work independently in the department with Radiologist availability for questions. Ability to provide excellent patient care while keeping the MRI environment safe for everyone. Description: 1-2 days on call per month. Level II Trauma Center. Bed capacity of 309. MRI Unit with one MRI machine. Number of staff: 3. Day shift is Monday to Friday from 0700 to 1530. Night shift is from 1500 to 0130. Weekend shift is Saturday to Sunday from 0800 to 2030. Patient ratios are 1:1. Type of equipment includes GE Explorer Lift Signa 1.5T EMR - Meditech. Typical procedures include neuro exams, abdominal exams, and musculoskeletal exams. Candidates with the ability to adapt protocols for patients or physician needs will be considered first. Willingness to learn from onsite and virtual applications for new procedures is preferred. We have many policies for safety and exams. All protocols are built into the scanner for easy access and guidance. We are planning a software upgrade that will enhance our capabilities. Future growth will involve the addition of a second scanner and expansion of the department. Travelers will be scheduled in accordance with facility policy and are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with employees.
