• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,720 - $1,820
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Patient Ratios: 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients) on days, nights, and weekends
• Unit Environment: Family-centered inpatient postpartum care for women, infants, and healthy newborns

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• IV start skills and labor & delivery experience required
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills; candidate must pass an EKG exam prior to start
• Experience with family-centered postpartum care strongly preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment and float as needed within similar acuity areas
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled postpartum nursing and couplet care to mothers and newborns
• Monitor patients recovering from vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Support breastfeeding, newborn education, and discharge teaching for parents
• Perform assessments and interventions for postpartum patients and healthy newborns
• Manage common postpartum conditions, including preeclampsia, wound infection, and hemorrhage
• Care for newborns needing thermoregulation support, hypoglycemia monitoring, phototherapy, and NAS support
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Educate families on newborn care, circumcision care, feeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support excellent patient outcomes
• Float to similar acuity areas within the organization as needed
