Job Details
  • Position: Monitor Tech

  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: Night Shift
  • Schedule: 3x12
  • Experience Required: 2 Years
  • Pay Rate: $32 to $34/hr
Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
  • Recognize and promptly report abnormal heart rhythms and changes in patient status
  • Maintain accurate telemetry records and documentation
  • Communicate critical findings to nursing staff and physicians in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper operation and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge patients from telemetry systems as needed
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with patient safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Monitor Tech or Telemetry Technician experience
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Successful completion of a telemetry or cardiac monitoring course preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, arrhythmia recognition, and ECG interpretation
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
