Job Details

- Location: Asheville
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Night Shift
- Schedule: 3x12
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Pay Rate: $32 to $34/hr
Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
- Recognize and promptly report abnormal heart rhythms and changes in patient status
- Maintain accurate telemetry records and documentation
- Communicate critical findings to nursing staff and physicians in a timely manner
- Ensure proper operation and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment
- Admit, transfer, and discharge patients from telemetry systems as needed
- Assist in maintaining compliance with patient safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support optimal patient care
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Monitor Tech or Telemetry Technician experience
- Current BLS Certification required
- Successful completion of a telemetry or cardiac monitoring course preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, arrhythmia recognition, and ECG interpretation
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care environment
