Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 18 months of MICU experience required; 2 years preferred
• Prior ICU nurse experience in a high-acuity setting required
• EPIC experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required before start
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator support, and complex medication drip management
• Ability to complete required pre-start modules and orientation items on time

Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside care for adult MICU patients with complex and rapidly changing conditions
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage arterial and central lines
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac infusions according to patient needs and provider orders
• Care for ventilated patients and support BiPAP/CPAP management
• Assess respiratory status, manage suctioning, and interpret ABGs
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Follow isolation precautions, safety standards, and ICU best practices
• Float within scope as needed to support facility operations
