Travel Medical Technologist - $1,579 to $1,779 per week in Atlanta, GA

Jackson HealthPros is hiring a Clinical / Medical Laboratory Scientist (formerly Medical Technologist) to perform diagnostic testing on patient samples and analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits to aid physicians in the diagnosis or monitoring of various disease states. This opportunity is located in Atlanta, GA at a hospital and supports a high-volume laboratory with large neonatal units and diverse complex specimens. Candidates should be prepared to work a night schedule and to operate within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field as required by individual clients.
• Valid ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required.
• In licensure states, laboratory licensure in the appropriate specialty as applicable to the state assignment.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the clinical laboratory specialty.
• Experience working in large hospital laboratories preferred (600+ beds).
• Competence performing manual and automated differentials, including neonatal differentials.
• Experience with Cerner laboratory information systems required.
• Experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Facility will only consider candidates classified as Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist. Medical Laboratory Technician candidates will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a high-volume, acute care hospital laboratory with neonatal units.
• Hands-on experience processing a wide variety of complex clinical specimens.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 2300–0700.
• Schedule pattern: 5x8.
• Must be competent with Cerner, Sysmex, and CellaVision systems.
• Candidate should be able to manage high-volume workload typical of a large hospital laboratory.
