Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical/Surgical unit at a Level II Trauma Center, with Epic experience required and night shifts on a 3x12 schedule.

Details

  • Med/Surg unit at a short-term acute care, Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital with 629 staffed beds
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:00)
  • Every other weekend required as needed
  • Patient ratio of 1:5
  • Floating between units and sister facilities within the state is expected
  • No on-call required
  • Charting system: Epic (required)
  • Parking is available at no cost

Requirements

  • Active WA or Compact RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE, respiratory care, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, IV therapy/phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and cardiac monitoring
  • Experience with rapid response and code team protocols
  • Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers and nurses with 1 year of experience are welcome to apply
  • Former permanent Providence staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates who have previously worked at a Providence facility (as a permanent employee, traveler, or registry/per-diem) must disclose the location and dates of employment
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted, though at a different pay rate
  • All requested time off must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be approved
  • Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of assignment
  • All scrub colors are acceptable for RNs
