Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care at a healthcare facility in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The Clinical Nurse will deliver high-quality patient care in a hospital setting, utilizing the nursing process to meet individual patient needs across a variety of medical-surgical conditions. This role involves assessing patient conditions, implementing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross); one (1) year of nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Additional Information: The Clinical Nurse will participate in patient assessment, care planning, and discharge preparation. They will demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex needs, perform bedside point of care testing, and utilize healthcare and nursing standards in daily practice. Effective communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams are essential for success in this role.
