Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Tulsa, OK 74104
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Schedule: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), with option for 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend required. 6:1 patient ratio. 91-day assignment.
Highlights:
- Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry capabilities serving adult and geriatric populations
- 24-bed unit with diverse patient diagnoses including post-catheterization, post-angiogram, IR procedures, and chest tubes
- Shorter length of stay with some clinical decision unit functionality
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Epic charting system with modern equipment including smart IV pumps and telemetry monitoring
- Float to similar medical/surgical or telemetry units within scope as needed
Requirements:
- Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification required in hand; NIHSS certification required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 6:1 patient ratios preferred
- Community hospital, LTAC, and trauma center experience preferred
- Skills required include telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line management, heparin protocols, chest tube management, wound care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
