Job Summary:
Rehabilitation Medical-Surgical Nurse in Windsor, Vermont. This position involves coordinating total nursing care for patients on a medical-surgical rehabilitation floor, with an emphasis on patient recovery from surgery, serious illness, or injury. The role requires active participation in patient and family education, providing leadership within the clinical team, and potentially serving as a backup Charge Nurse. The nurse will float between units as needed in a fast-paced, inpatient setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: 2 years recent Medical Surgical Rehabilitation experience, RN license (Vermont or Compact), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred, American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications active and current, at least 2 years of recent Med Surg Rehab experience, previous travel experience of at least 3 months, must be willing to float to other units as needed within scope of practice, must have own vehicle as local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible.

- Additional Information: The candidate must include previous travel experience and their perm address in the profile. All scheduling requests, including time off, must be made at the time of submission; requests after offer may lead to rescinded offers. The facility enforces a three-strike rule for call-offs. The EMR used is Cerner. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 to 4/5.
