Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation in Dallas, Texas, will support a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation unit within a state-of-the-art facility. This role involves providing compassionate patient care for individuals recovering from conditions such as stroke, amputation, or major surgeries, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes and enhancing patient well-being.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift with 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Tennessee Board Certified Registered Nurse (RN), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 2 years of nursing experience, and an associate or bachelors degree in nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke, amputation, and major surgery patient populations; strong problem-solving, leadership, critical thinking, warmth, and welcoming personality.
- Additional Information: The role involves working on a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation floor, supporting patient ratios of approximately 1:7, utilizing equipment such as IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and med dispensers. The unit is equipped with electronic health records (EHR) systems including Cerner and Epic.
