Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology is needed in Evansville, Indiana. This role involves patient assessment and intervention, medication administration, documentation in electronic health records, and implementation and monitoring of care plans for oncology, hematology, end-of-life/hospice, and overflow medical/surgical patients. The position is scheduled for night shifts, with a focus on providing comprehensive nursing care in a 16-bed unit.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, degree in nursing (RN), at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience, and at least 1 year of experience in the specialty or related field.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in oncology, hematology, end-of-life/hospice care, or medical-surgical units.
  • Additional Information: Responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, following through with provider orders, documenting in electronic health records, and monitoring patient care plans. The unit serves oncology, hematology, end-of-life/hospice, and overflow medical/surgical patients in a 16-bed setting.
