Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) $$SN$$
Location: Flint, Michigan (McLaren Flint)
Shift: Nights – 3x12s (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
Duration: 13 weeks
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis on blood, urine, spinal fluid, and other body specimens.
• Conduct microscopic examination and identification of blood cells and other laboratory samples.
• Perform blood typing, crossmatching, and compatibility testing for transfusion services.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain laboratory supplies and quality control standards.
• Prepare and communicate laboratory findings to support diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
• Adhere to QA/QI, infection control, and safety protocols while maintaining accurate documentation.
