Able to work independently and perform testing in a hospital lab as a generalist. Description: The position requires a Medical Lab Scientist for day shifts. Strong skills and a minimum of 2 years’ experience are required, though first-time travelers may be accepted. Candidates must be able to work independently and perform various laboratory tests. Proficiency in different laboratory methodologies, including chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, blood banking, and coagulation, is essential. Every other weekend work is required. Holidays will be scheduled as needed. Floating within the facility may be required. Compliance with safety and quality assurance standards is expected. Experience with testing and specimen preparation is necessary. Knowledge of hospital clinical laboratory procedures is important. Candidates should exhibit proper patient identification processes and quality control measures. The position may involve both manual and automated testing processes.
