Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours (13:00 - 21:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years License: Must have a state license Certifications: Must have relevant certifications Description: Seeking a Medical Lab Technician for a mid-shift position. The role includes rotating weekends. Candidates must have prior travel experience. Previous charge experience is preferred. Experience with patient ratios and charting systems is required. Familiarity with community hospital settings is a plus. Candidates should have experience in LTAC and trauma facilities. Skills required include: - 24-hour urine analysis - Accessioning and automated instrument use - Blood specimen storage and body fluid analysis - Hormone and thyroid testing - Manual differential and microscopic urinalysis - Quality assurance and controls - Specimen preparation and stool analysis - Therapeutic drug monitoring and tumor markers Additional qualifications: Candidates must comply with safety and hazardous materials regulations. Knowledge of proper disposal and labeling methods is essential. Experience with rapid test kits and quality control is required. Candidate may be required to float within the facility. References are needed prior to submission. Candidates must not have any recent professional cancellations or license issues.
