Job Title: Medical Lab Technician Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Lab Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:00 - 06:30), 10 hours (20:00 - 06:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience, including travel experience License: Active state or compact license required Certifications: Must have a license Must-Have: Blood bank experience, generalist skills Description: Two medical lab technicians are required for a night schedule. The shift is 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM from Wednesday to Saturday, and 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM from Sunday to Tuesday. The position is for a generalist role. Candidates must have experience in blood bank procedures. Local candidates will not be considered; travel experience is mandatory. Candidates should possess skills related to a wide variety of laboratory tests and procedures. The responsibilities include handling various laboratory tests, including but not limited to: - 24-hour urine - Accessioning - Blood specimen storage - CBC manual - Immunoassay - Quality assurance and controls - Reporting test results Candidates should also be familiar with hazardous materials and their disposal, as well as proper labeling practices. Additional responsibilities may include specimen preparation and therapeutic drug monitoring.
