Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Medical Technologist Specialty: Laboratory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Louisiana License Certifications: ASCP preferred over AMT Must-Have: Strong knowledge in blood bank. Experience in a trauma center is a plus. Description: Seeking a candidate with strong blood bank knowledge. Experience in a trauma center is preferred. The laboratory includes 60 total staff members, with phlebotomy included. Day shift consists of 2 Hematology, 2 Chemistry, 2 Blood Bank, and 4 Micro staff. Evening shift has 4-5 generalists, and the night shift has 3 generalists. Equipment utilized includes Cobs Pros, Sysmex XN, ACL Tops, Arkray, Iris, and Clinitech. The EMR system in use is Meditech. Candidates must possess a Louisiana License, with ASCP certification being preferred. Floating may occur between Micro and Blood Bank. Dress code requires royal blue scrubs. Weekends and on-call shifts are not required.
