Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Medical Technologist Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required (State-specific) Certifications: ASCP, ASCP MT, ASCP-BB, AMT, ABB Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience - Previous charge experience preferred - Travel experience required - Experience with specific charting systems preferred Description: Looking for a skilled Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. Floating to other areas may be required within the facility as needed. Clinical screening will be conducted to determine fit for the role. Candidates should be comfortable working during holidays. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. Three major holidays would require the traveler to work at least two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Full compliance is required to avoid delays in starting the assignment. Candidates should possess the skills necessary for various laboratory procedures, including blood banking and specimen collection. Knowledge of quality assurance practices is important. Familiarity with manual differential techniques and urine analysis is required. Experience in therapeutic drug monitoring and transfusion reaction workups is preferred. Candidates must be able to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Proficiency in lab information systems and documentation is essential. A commitment to maintaining high-quality laboratory standards is expected.
