Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician Profession: Med Tech Specialty: Laboratory Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Not Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via AMT, Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via ASCP Must-Have: - Proficiency in all areas of the laboratory, including blood bank - Experience working independently on the night shift Description: The position requires a Medical Laboratory Technician to work in a laboratory setting. Candidates must cover all areas including Hematology, Serology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Microbiology, and Blood Bank. Generalist skills are required for this role. Phlebotomy skills are not necessary. The schedule includes weekends and holidays. The facility operates on a graveyard shift schedule with no self-scheduling allowed. The schedule is determined for 6 weeks in advance. Cancellation of shifts is possible. Dress code allows for scrubs or business casual attire with closed-toe shoes. Department-specific orientation is provided. Candidates should be familiar with various Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and specific equipment used in the laboratory. Experience with relevant software systems, including Wellsky, URT, and Data Innovations, is advantageous. Potential for call or standby requirements may exist.
