Requirements: Shift will consist of both overnight and dayshift hours during a 2 week rotation

Week 1: Monday (8 pm -630 am); Tuesday (8 pm - 630 am); Wednesday - off; Thursday - off; Friday - off; Saturday - Dayshift - (7 am - 530 pm); Sunday - Dayshift - (7 am - 530 pm);

Week 2: Monday - off; Tuesday - (8 pm - 630 am); Wednesday - (8 pm - 630 am); Thursday - (8 pm - 630 am); Friday - (8 pm - 630 am); Saturday - off; Sunday - off

Flexible to adjust start times on weekend anywhere between 6 am - 8 am, but would ask candidate to pick a time and be consistent with that start time for the weekends.

Job Title: CLINICAL LAB TECHNOLOGIST

Job Summary:
Performs analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to aid health care providers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Testing is performed in specialized laboratories and may include highly skilled manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Instrument operation and maintenance
• Troubleshooting assays
• Evaluating tests for accuracy
• Assisting with interpreting results
• Operational support activities to optimize testing

Works with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results. May work with minimal supervision and may assist with specimen collection. Must strictly adhere to safety protocols to work with infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards.

Required Qualifications:

• Capable of producing accurate results under time constraints
• Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work closely with others
• Flexibility to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend work assignments
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems

Additional Information:

• Contractor would be working on an automated analyzer with various specimen types
• Some samples will require additional workup/testing such as dilutions
• Additional duties/testing platforms may be added
