Travel Medical Assistant (MA) in Poughkeepsie, NY

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

Job Name: Medical Assistant

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY 12603

Duration: Contract to Hire

Payrate: $21/hr. - $23/hr. on W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications)

Schedule: 5 Days a Week | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
(Floating to different facilities of the same client is required)

Job Responsibilities:

• Rooming patients and preparing them for examination
• Taking and recording vital signs
• Performing medication reconciliation and updating patient records
• Managing EMR/EHR documentation (Epic preferred)
• Handling tasking, phone triage, and message documentation
• Performing point-of-care (POC) testing
• Monitoring inventory and checking for expired medications
• Supporting patient flow in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Maintaining professionalism, teamwork, and strong communication

Requirements:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic preferred)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience with Epic
• Strong patient rooming efficiency

Floating Requirement:

• Must be comfortable floating to different facilities of the same client
