Pay: $1,182.40 weekly

Shifts: M-F 0830-1700

Key Responsibilities of the Certified Medical Assistant II
  • Perform rooming and intake processes, collecting data including vital signs
  • Collect patient and family data, review medication lists, allergies, and preferred pharmacy
  • Assist providers during treatments, exams, and procedures
  • Collect specimens and execute phlebotomy, administer medications
  • Conduct tests such as EKGs and eye exams under a provider's direction
  • Review records for necessary routine health screenings
  • Ensure exam/procedure room readiness with appropriate supplies and materials
  • Provide patients with after-visit instructions and educational material
  • Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam and treatment rooms
  • Clean and sterilize instruments
  • Assist with patient registration, check in/out, and appointment scheduling
  • Answer clinic telephone and aid in-basket, manage emergency situations
  • Precept new hires and externs, train medical assistants and assist in preventive health measures
  • Perform clinic-based quality or safety roles and manage supply ordering

Requirements of the Certified Medical Assistant II
  • Possess at least one year of full-time experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified
  • Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA
  • Basic Life Support Certification from AHA or ARC
