Seven Healthcare are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II with recent OBGYN experience for a travel assignment in Cary, NC. In this role, you will support providers by assisting with clinical tasks necessary for patient visits and follow-up care. Key Responsibilities of the Certified Medical Assistant II
  • Perform rooming and intake process, collect vitals, and gather patient data.
  • Review patient's medication list, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
  • Assist providers during treatments, examinations, and procedures.
  • Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and administer medications.
  • Perform tests like EKG and eye exams under provider direction.
  • Provide patient after-visit instructions and educational materials.
  • Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and equipment.
  • Assist with patient registration, appointments, and referrals.
  • Answer clinic phones and assist in emergencies under provider direction.
  • Precept new hires and train medical assistants in clinic procedures.

Requirements of the Certified Medical Assistant II
  • At least one year of full-time experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from AHA or ARC.
