Job Title: Travel Med/Tele PCU Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift
Job Description: Join the dynamic cardiac care team at CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center in Bismarck, ND! We are seeking a skilled Med/Tele RN with strong PCU experience for a 32-bed unit. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who excel in cardiac care—and first-time travelers are welcome to apply!
Contract Details:
- Start Date: 08/10/2026
- Shift: 12-hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM).
- Scheduling: Every other weekend and holiday required. Blocked scheduling will be considered based on unit needs!
- Time Off: A maximum of 7 days of RTO is allowed for the 13-week contract and must be submitted upfront.
Requirements:
- Experience: PCU experience is required. You must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry strips. (Epic EMR experience is a plus).
- Certifications: Active BLS and ACLS.
- Clinical Competencies: Must be highly proficient in titrating drips (Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Nipride, Lasix) and managing equipment like BiPAP and trachs.
- Radius & Eligibility Policy: Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility. Candidates cannot hold any current employment (PRN, part-time, or full-time) with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facilities.
Unit Highlights:
- Ratios: Typically 1:4–5 for Med/Tele, and 1:3 for PCU-level overflow patients.
- Floating Flexibility: Travelers will float to PCU, Med-Surg, and ER holding as needed.
- Attire: Any color scrubs are permitted.
