Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a permanent Ohio or compact RN license and a minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Details

  • Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 13- or 18-week contract options available

Requirements

  • Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand — permanent license required (not temporary)
  • Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
  • Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
  • One managerial reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months required for consideration — co-worker references are not accepted
  • All required certifications must be active and in hand — pending certifications will not be accepted
  • Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
  • No open background check cases; license hits of any kind are not accepted
  • Candidates with previous permanent or per diem employment at any Cleveland Clinic facility must have an end date of at least 1 year prior to start

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • RTO requests must be disclosed prior to or during the interview process
  • Candidates may only be considered for one Cleveland Clinic Health System position at a time
  • BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signing a contract
  • PBDS assessment is waived; ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments will be completed during orientation with a passing score required — a maximum of two attempts are allowed before cancellation
  • Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
  • Travelers may remain on assignment for a maximum of 18 consecutive months, after which a 6-month break is required before returning to any Cleveland Clinic location
