**Join Our Team as a Registered Nurse - Med/Surg!** **Job Description:** - **Position:** Registered Nurse, Med/Surg, Watkins 2 - **Shift:** 32-hour evening shift, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm - **Schedule:** Every other weekend and holiday **Essential Functions:** - Assess and reassess patient conditions; plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions. - Deliver patient care adhering to established protocols and policies. - Acknowledge each patient's individuality; promote dignity and self-regard. - Teach patients and families based on their learning needs and readiness. - Collaborate on discharge planning with patients and families, integrating support systems. - Delegate and supervise nursing interventions conducted by others effectively. - Prioritize patient care efficiently, seeking resources and assistance when necessary. - Document all patient data and care interventions thoroughly and accurately. - Provide timely and clear reports on assigned patients to healthcare team members. - Encourage professional development for yourself and colleagues. - Identify and proactively address potential risks to patient safety. - Manage medication administration and intravenous therapy per protocols. - Evaluate pain levels using appropriate scales and document responses to interventions. - Conduct ongoing assessments and provide education for surgical patients. - Set up and maintain equipment necessary for patient care. **Functional Demands:** - Physical Requirements: - Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally; 10 to 25 pounds frequently. - Frequently reach, handle, and feel objects; occasional stooping and kneeling. **Organizational Expectations:** - Required Behavioral Attributes: - Achievement motivation - Concern for order - Flexibility and initiative - Customer service orientation - Teamwork and analytical thinking **Job Requirements:** - **Education:** Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. - **Experience:** 1 year Med/Surg experience preferred; telemetry and pediatrics experience also preferred. - **Licenses/Certifications:** - Current MA RN license. - ACLS upon hire or active BLS card with ACLS completion within 60 days. - PALS preferred. **Required Skills:** - Exhibit mature professional behaviors, including tact, empathy, and diplomacy. - Foster a positive working environment. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
