• Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Setting: 36-bed telemetry/pulmonary medical-surgical unit
• Start Date: September 14, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week; may also be scheduled for 48 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Schedule: Every other weekend, with holidays as required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
• EMR: Meditech
• Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Alabama or a compact license; no temporary licenses accepted
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification
• 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg, telemetry, or medical-surgical nursing experience may be considered
• Experience working under the highest level of professional license for candidates with 18 months of experience may be considered
• Willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed
• Strong clinical background in general medicine, telemetry, and respiratory care
• Comfort working in a patient-facing, fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with respiratory disorders and telemetry needs
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using established clinical standards
• Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy teams
• Support a patient ratio of approximately 1:6 while maintaining safe, effective care
• Float to other units and hospitals when needed based on staffing needs
• Deliver compassionate, specialized care for patients and families
• Work assigned weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
