Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards.
• Deliver and oversee the quality of nursing services provided by self and others under their direction.
• Utilize specialized nursing knowledge, judgment, and skills to assess patient data and provide care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of each patient.
• Care for Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients, including those with stroke diagnoses, as part of routine unit assignments.
• Maintain required certifications and complete facility-required credentialing within specified timeframes upon hire.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (Nursys verification required, must be less than 30 days old).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with stroke patients, documented on resume.
• Willingness to accept Telemetry patient assignments as needed.
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS Certification and mRs/SIREN Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• COVID vaccination required; declinations are not accepted.
• Must be willing to work the facility's schedule without scheduling restrictions.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification already obtained prior to assignment start.
• Familiarity with stroke protocols and telemetry monitoring in an acute care setting.
