### Join Our Dynamic Medical/Surgical Nursing Team! **Job Description:** - Shift: Nights from 7PM to 7AM - Start: ASAP - Required Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: - BLS certification from AHA - RN License in state of employment or compact - Weekend Requirement: - 2 to 4 shifts in a month (rotated among staff) - On Call Requirement: - Not required but may be asked if census rises - Floating Requirement / Locations: - Will float to all Med/Surg departments - Nurse / Patient Ratio: - 1:5-6 - EMR System: - EPIC - Dress Code: - Grey Scrubs **Summary:** - As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and implementing exceptional patient care tailored to our diverse age groups. - Ensure quality and safe healthcare while embodying our unit's mission, philosophy, and goals. - Demonstrate professionalism and effectiveness in both clinical practice and work habits. **Responsibilities:** - Conduct initial assessments and establish patient care priorities. - Re-assess patients to track progress and identify needs. - Develop and implement individualized care plans. - Make informed nursing decisions and update care plans as needed. - Educate patients and their families regarding health and discharge planning. - Implement timely interventions based on patient requirements. - Perform various Point of Care testing procedures. **Staff Responsibilities:** - Utilize effective communication for successful outcomes. - Delegate tasks to ensure timely patient care. - Adjust team assignments based on unit needs. - Participate in the orientation of new staff and students. - Promote a positive and professional work environment. - Collaborate to meet unit and organizational goals. **Customer Relations:** - Exhibit behaviors that foster high patient satisfaction and respect for rights. - Communicate effectively to promote teamwork. - Uphold the hospital's integrity and positive image. - Support the mission and continuous improvement of services. **Other Responsibilities:** - Assist with special projects as needed. - Interpret and communicate HR policies clearly. - Adapt readily to changes in the work environment. - Maintain a positive attitude even under stress. - Take ownership of professional growth and development. - Adhere to all patient and environmental safety policies. **Requirements:** - Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. - Licenses: Current RN license and BLS Certification required. - Skills: - Knowledge of care specific to the patient population served. - Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
