Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Spine unit requiring a strong orthopedic background and TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 26-bed 5 East Ortho/Spine unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Unit supported by unit secretary, PCTs, and navigator staff
• Care for patients undergoing knee and hip replacements as well as multi-level spine surgeries
• Uses coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs as part of patient care equipment
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Requires 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Floating required on a rotation basis

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Strong orthopedic nursing background required
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to orthopedic and spine surgical patients
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• 13-week assignment length
