**Join Our Dynamic Med/Surg Team as a Travel RN!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - **Location:** Corpus Christi Medical Center - **Floor:** 2 North - **Number of Beds:** 16 - **Staffing:** 25 dedicated professionals - Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3-4 RNs, 1 PCA - Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 3 RNs, 1 PCA - **Patient Ratios:** Maximum of 6:1 - **Equipment:** Standard medical equipment - **EMR System:** Meditech - **Patient Composition:** 50% Med/Surg, 50% COVID+ - **Typical Hiring Profile:** - **Required Skills:** - 1+ years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year - Ability to manage 4-6 patients simultaneously - **Preferred Skills:** - 2+ years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year - Background in ortho or neuro-surgery; Med/Surg/Telemetry experience is acceptable - **Procedures Performed:** - Comprehensive care for Med/Surg patients - Standard nursing skills: IV insertion, urinary catheter care, central line maintenance, medication administration, teamwork, and timely documentation - **Ideal Candidate:** - Friendly and positive demeanor - Patient-centered approach - Strong focus on teamwork - **Certifications Required:** - Active RN license - **Dress Code:** - Scrubs (standard attire) - **Weekends and On-call:** - Normally rotating weekends, as needed for travel RNs **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
