Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit, Intermediate Care, and Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with neuro and trauma diagnoses, focusing on strokes, seizures, and spinal injuries.
• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night.
• Administer and titrate common drips, including Heparin, Nitro, and Diltiazem.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care across shifts.
• Participate in self-scheduling and meet weekend and holiday requirements.
• Float to sister medical-surgical units as required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in Wisconsin.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med-Surg, PCU, or ICU setting.
• Experience with tracheostomies and ventilators preferred; willingness to learn required.
• Must have experience with drip management and titration.
• Prior experience in acute care settings is preferred.
