Job Description

The Staff Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care through the nursing process. The RN will accept responsibility for the direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care, adhering to established FMC policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process.
  • Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.
  • Educate patients and families/significant others from admission through the discharge process.
  • Document the nursing process/pathway with thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation.
  • Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely.
  • Implement and assure physician orders are followed as written.
  • Ensure equipment and supplies are available for patient care and report malfunctions appropriately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Previous Registered Nursing experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
