Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Inpatient Oncology) position requiring a GA or compact RN license and recent oncology experience.

Details

• Work in the Inpatient Oncology Unit of an acute care hospital
• Provide medical/surgical nursing care to oncology patients
• 12-hour night shifts, schedule varies 7P-7A
• 3 shifts per week on a 13-week assignment
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in oncology/med-surg specialty required

Additional Information

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
• Holiday coverage required: must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• RTO must be requested upfront prior to receiving an offer and cannot be requested afterward
