Key Responsibilities- Perform breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound, and assistance with breast ultrasound biopsy in accordance with MQSA and ACR guidelines
- Identify and review patient requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnosis and demographic information; communicate pertinent findings to the radiologist and care team
- Conduct and document quality control checks to ensure all equipment operates within safe limits per MQSA and ACR standards
- Educate and clearly communicate with patients before, during, and after breast imaging procedures to support continuity of care
- Schedule breast imaging appointments and assist in coordinating exams to ensure quality and continuity of patient care
- Assist with departmental workflow management, medical supply inventory, and participation in breast health education and promotional events
Required Qualifications- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification with Mammography (M) designation required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Working knowledge of mammography and stereotactic equipment, examinations, protocols, contrast agents, and sterile techniques
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
- Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking
Preferred Experience / Skills- Minimum of 1 year of mammography or related imaging experience preferred
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
