Job Title: X-Ray/Mammographer Profession: Technologist Specialty: Mammography Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: - 2 years X-Ray experience - 1 year current experience - 2 years current Mammography experience License: MA Radiology license or application of same Certifications: - ARRT (R) Certification - ARRT (M) Certification - Active American Heart Association BLS Must-Have: - Must have excellent patient care skills - Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography - Must be willing to work weekends and evenings Description: This is an X-Ray/Mammographer need. Please upload travelers who are proficient in both specialties. Do not upload a traveler to this assignment who would like to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment. Ensure that your traveler will work the posted schedule before upload. 10 or 12-hour shift requests will not be considered for this need. Travelers must have their own vehicle for this need. Any requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload. No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted. Schedule requests must be made at the time of submission. Requests after the offer or during the interview will not be approved. Perform a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by the Lead Technologist or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by management. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, and PACs applications. Attends mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens and infection control. Maintains department competencies as required.
