Job Summary:
Long Term Care (LTC) Nursing Professional, West Burlington, IA This position involves providing routine daily nursing care and other services to elderly residents in a facility with a total of 160 beds. The role requires collaboration with the RN Manager to ensure smooth unit operations and adherence to care plans. The candidate must have current BLS and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications and recent Epic electronic health record experience within the last 12 months in a long-term care setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evenings shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with every other weekend rotation required
  • Required Qualifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications; recent Epic electronic health record experience within the last 12 months in a long-term care setting; high school diploma or equivalent; Iowa license or eligibility; 0 years minimum experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a long-term care environment and familiarity with facility-specific policies
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The position involves working closely with the RN Manager to handle daily nursing duties, manage resident care, and ensure compliance with assessment, choices, and care plans. Candidates should be prepared to work the shift extending into the night hours if needed, with shifts from 10:45 PM to 6:45 AM at times. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to resident care.
