Job Title: Clinical Social Worker Profession: Behavioral Health Specialty: Clinical Social Work Duration: Full Time Shift: Days Hours per Shift: Guaranteed Hours: N/A Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: N/A License: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred. Clinicians who are not yet licensed will receive clinical supervision to ensure appropriate delivery of behavioral health services. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months. Clinical Competency Assessment within 3 months and every 3 years thereafter. Valid Driver's License or can be obtained within 6 months of hire. Must-Have: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited educational institution. Experience and expertise with behavioral health assessment and diagnoses. Knowledge of behavioral health assessment and diagnostic evaluation criteria. Ability to assess patients for risk of suicide or self-harm and develop effective safety plans. Understanding of ethical and legal management practices, state mandatory reporting requirements, and documentation regulations specific to the relevant authorities. Description: This position provides evidence-based, culturally relevant outpatient behavioral health treatment for those experiencing behavioral, emotional, and/or mental disorders. Clinical services include individual, group, family, and marital therapy. Responsibilities also include bio-psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, care coordination, and crisis intervention. The clinician is an engaged member of the multidisciplinary treatment team to support individuals and families. Timely documentation of services is required in accordance with established policies and regulatory bodies. The clinician adheres to established clinical productivity standards. After-hours crisis intervention services are provided on a shared rotating basis within designated clinic locations. Supervision for clinicians not yet licensed will focus on the appropriate delivery of twelve core functions. Core functions include screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, therapy, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, reports, and records keeping, and consultation. The clinician will implement culturally relevant screening, assessment, diagnosing, and treatment planning. Trauma-Informed Care is utilized in all aspects of patient, employee, and community interactions. Mental health and substance use disorder interventions are integrated based on individualized assessments and treatment planning outcomes. Individualized treatment plans and reviews based upon the individual’s needs are developed. Care coordination, advocacy, motivational interviewing, bio-psychosocial education, and skill development are part of the responsibilities. The clinician will communicate and collaborate with clinical and paraprofessional team members to achieve individualized treatment goals. Crisis intervention services are provided within normal clinic hours. The documentation of all services within the electronic health record must be complete, timely, and accurate. Patient confidentiality must be maintained according to relevant policies. Care coordination within the health system and local community agencies is essential to offer appropriate referrals. Attendance and participation in staff meetings, training, and multidisciplinary team meetings is required. Productivity expectations must be met consistently to support ongoing patient access to care. Prompt responses to coding and audit requests and corrections must be performed in a professional manner. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
