Job Title: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Profession: Social Services Specialty: LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in mental health counseling License: Valid license as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker Certifications: BLS, LCSW Must-Have: - Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics - Hospital experience preferred Description: This is a first-time opportunity for a licensed clinical social worker in a psychiatric emergency department. The position will float between multiple units. Weekend availability is required, working every other weekend. The schedule will be from 16:00 to 02:00 on the weekends. In case of overstaffing, the individual may be asked to float to a nearby facility performing similar duties. The facility is a short-term acute care center and a level II trauma center. The environment includes interdisciplinary support. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments. The candidate will assist patients in navigating the Department of Children and Families process. They will coordinate services for home care and equipment following discharge. The candidate will document pertinent information to facilitate care coordination. Participation in care conference activities is expected. They will refer to rehabilitation and long-term care facilities. The candidate will provide individual, marriage, and parental counseling. Experience with emergency detention and guardianship is required. They will also manage treatment plans and coordinate services for patients in need.
