Job Title: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Profession: Social Services Specialty: Clinical Social Work Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Certifications: BLS, LCSW Must-Have: Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker. Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics. Hospital experience preferred. Description: Position will float between units. On-call is not required. Weekends are required every other weekend. No block schedules are required. Expected ratios are 7 patients. This role is for the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room. Work every other weekend, a Saturday and Sunday. Shift hours are from 16:00 to 02:00. If overstaffed, may be asked to float to another facility performing the same duties. Daily tasks include conducting evaluations for risk assessments, providing care recommendations, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Experience in outpatient clinics, psychiatric hospitals, and various social services is valuable. Responsibilities include individual and parental counseling, coordinating services, and facilitating care transitions. Position involves working with patients suffering from mental health illnesses and substance use disorders. Role will include consulting with the emergency department team to complete evaluations. Regular documentation of patient information to aid in care coordination is essential. Additional skills include navigating social service processes, managing emergency detention procedures, and providing referrals to longer-term care facilities. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may affect employment status. Candidates should not contact facility staff directly.
