Licensed Practical Nurse – Med Surg, Rochester, NY. Travel - Temporary Assignment beginning 06/01/2026 for multiple weeks, 3x12 Day shifts. Weekly pay range: $1,187-$1,251. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Unit is a 14-bed med/surg telemetry overflow unit designed to accommodate ED boarders in a hospital setting. Orientation is 12 hours. EPIC charting experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted. NY license in hand is required, and candidates located within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults on a med/surg telemetry overflow unit, including monitoring vitals, administering medications, and implementing care plans per physician orders
- Perform phlebotomy and IV placement as required; assist with NG/G-tube and feeding tube care; manage Foley catheter care as needed
- Support wound care, dressing changes, JP/Hemovac drains, and routine suctioning as directed; assist with ADLs and mobility
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EPIC; communicate changes to the primary RN and MD using SBAR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, RRT, Transport, Unit Secretary, Interpretation Services) to coordinate patient care and safety
- Monitor telemetry, report status changes promptly, and participate in shift handoffs and care coordination for ED boarders

Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in New York (in hand required)
- BLS certification
- EPIC charting experience required
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required
- Ability to float to med/surg units as needed and work the 3x12 Day shift
- Location restriction: Candidates located within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
