Job Title: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Profession: Social Services Specialty: LCSW Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (08:00 - 18:30) Experience: Minimum of 5 years required License: LCSW State of California Certifications: AHA BLS, LCSW Must-Have: First-time travelers are not accepted. Weekend availability required. Description: The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide support to the psychiatry consult liaison service. Interventions include collateral for initial psychiatric evaluations. The LCSW will work on community placement for patients meeting criteria for inpatient psychiatric care. Additional support will be provided as needed. Experience with 5150/involuntary holds and conducting initial evaluations is essential. The LCSW will coordinate care with internal and external team members. Responsibilities include the development of a plan of care to meet patient and caregiver needs. Documentation according to the plan of care and patient response is required. The LCSW will participate in care conference activities. Knowledge of cultural issues, Medicaid, Medicare, and psychiatric disorders is necessary. The LCSW will educate patients and caregivers to facilitate discharge and provide individualized support and advocacy. This role requires collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
