Position Overview

This is an exclusive EPIC backfill assignment seeking an experienced Lead Medical Assistant with current EPIC experience who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient Women's Health environment.

As a Lead Medical Assistant, you will provide high-quality clinical support services under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers while serving as a mentor and resource for clinic staff. This role combines hands-on patient care, leadership responsibilities, and technical expertise to support exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms and facilitate efficient patient flow

  • Room and check in patients for outpatient Women's Health visits

  • Obtain and document vital signs, reporting significant findings to providers

  • Perform venipuncture and specimen collection as ordered

  • Assist with specimen preparation and laboratory processes

  • Conduct audiometry and vision screenings

  • Maintain patient recall systems and continuity of care documentation

  • Coordinate lab follow-ups, referrals, and patient transfers

  • Mentor, train, and support Medical Assistant staff on technical skills and best practices

  • Assist with clerical and administrative functions as needed

  • Support a patient-centered care environment focused on safety and quality

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Certifications

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider

Required Experience

  • Current EPIC experience (mandatory)

  • Strong outpatient clinical experience

  • Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative care team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)

  • Phlebotomy Certification

  • Audiometry and Vision Screening Certification

  • CHDP Certificate

  • Previous Lead Medical Assistant or supervisory experience

  • Women's Health or OB/GYN clinic experience
